Headteacher's Welcome

As Headteacher, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome you to our inspirational and nurturing primary school which proudly strives to ensure all children are successful in their own way.

Danetree is a four-form entry Primary School with children from 2 to 11 years old. I take immense pride in the school being part of the GLF Schools’ family, a Multi-Academy Trust where children Grow, Learn and Flourish. This forward-thinking community of over 40 primary and secondary schools share our commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Being part of GLF allows us to draw on a wealth of resources, expertise, and the very best teaching methods from across the trust, enhancing our ability to meet the diverse needs of all our children.

We firmly believe that education is not just about academic achievement; it’s about inspiring a love for learning and developing well-rounded young people ready for adulthood. Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children feel valued, empowered, and excited to discover new possibilities.

We are entirely committed to continuous professional development for all our staff. This means that they are equipped with the tools and techniques necessary to deliver our inspiring curriculum effectively. We encourage our teachers and support staff to collaborate, share best practice, and stay abreast of current educational trends, ensuring that they can provide the most relevant and impactful learning experiences for every single one of our children.

Our enriched curriculum is designed to engage and inspire, offering a wealth of opportunities in sports, the arts, and beyond. From thrilling science experiments in our state-of-the-art Phiz lab to captivating performances in our Creative Arts Studio, every day at Danetree is filled with exploration and creativity. We are also extremely proud of our impressive outcomes in the Year One Phonics check; Year Four Timestables check and end-of-Key Stage Two SATs, which consistently exceed national averages, reflecting our relentless drive and commitment to excellence.

Expansive grounds provide the perfect backdrop for play and learning, featuring a well-maintained playing field; a Multi-Use Games Area; tennis courts, and our enchanting Narnia-themed Library, where imaginations can soar! We believe in equipping our children with the skills they need for the future, and our modern computing facilities ensure they are ready to thrive in a digital world.

As you navigate our website, you’ll discover a snapshot of the vibrant life at Danetree. From our dedicated Parent-Teacher Association to our exciting extracurricular activities; there really is something for everyone.

We pride ourselves on being a nurture-focused, friendly and welcoming school, and I warmly invite you to come and see for yourself the buzz of learning in our classrooms.

If you are a prospective parent looking for a forward-thinking school, please see the Admissions page for further information. I look forward to welcoming you to Danetree Primary School, where your child’s adventure in learning begins!
